Vijay and Nayantara, the brand ambassadors for IPL's Chennai Super Kings have formally introduced the team in grand gala ceremony held here. India Cements Limited, the official 'owner' of the team and the South franchisee of IPL, has launched Mahendhira Singh Dhoni and his men in the event at Trade Center on Saturday.

Dhoni, the captain of Chennai Super Kings owed, "We will win this series for Chennai" amidst thunderous claps and whistles of cricket fans. Many leading stars including Reema Sen, Sada, Sangeetha and Vasundhara Das attended the event and flown into perform live dance on the stage. Playback singer Karthik a big cricket fan belted out some hit numbers. ICL had spent a whopping amount to make the show bigger than the one recently performed in Bollywood.

Former cricketer K Srikanth also attended the event and AVM's Gurunath Meyyappan made necessary arrangements to make the event successful.
