Thankar Bachan is not only making big efforts to give meaningful cinema, but also to make some good changes in the relationships between leaders. Because of his long and hard efforts, Superstar Rajinikanth accepted to share the dais with PMK Founder President Dr Ramadoss for the first time. The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Dr Karunanidhi also promised to attend the event. It is none other than the 100 day celebration of Sathyaraj starred off beat film Onbathu Roobai Nottu directed by Thankar Bachan.

When the director has planned to celebrate the 100 days function of his latest film Onbathu Rupai Nottu in a grand manner, he immediately rushed to Kalaignar and Rajini's houses and requested them to attend the function along with the founder of PMK. After getting the positive nod from the leaders, Thankar went to Thailapuram and requested the PMK leader for the same and got his approval.

It may be recalled that both Rajinikanth and PMK Ramadoss turned as arch rivals during the release of Baba and the same was forced the actor to turn against the leader in the general elections 2004. The much damaged relationships is said to be on right track following many developments over the years.

Rajini, on his part, has given up his cigarette smoking mannerism on screen after the request of Ramadoss and his son Union Minister Dr Anbumani. Both the leaders have praised Rajini a lot for his immediate acceptance to give up the smoke in two of his recently released films.

Thankar says that the date and venue of the event would be announced in a day or two.
