Swamy Kandan is none other than a close friend of Thankar. He is settled in the US and has now completed his first venture Catch Your Mind, a Thriller in Hollywood.
Thankar who was immensely happy on seeing his friend as a director in Hollywood, penned a note to express his happiness over his friend's success.
In fact, Kandan had called Thangar to do the cinematography work for Catch Your Mind. But the former had refused due to his hectic schedule in Tamil film industry!
At that time Thankar was busy with his commitments like Periyar and Onbadhu Roobai Nottu.
However Kandan assured Bachan that he would give his friend another opportunity when he makes his next film.
During his visit, Thankar had reportedly given the video CDs of his films Onbadhu Rooboi Nottu and Pallikkoodam to Kandan, and had told him to go through them.
