Friday June 6 seems to be an auspicious day in Tamil Cinema as six films were launched. It is a new record in the industry in recent times. The biggest film launch among the six is Vijay-Nayantara starrer Villu. Directed by Prabhu Deva, the shooting has been launched after a simple pooja performed at Neikkaranpatti near Palani. Ayngaran Films International produced the film.

The other significant launch was Mysskin's Nandalala in Green Park in Vadapalani. The film has Delhi model Sniktha, who done the item number 'Kathazha Kannale...' in Anjathey, and Mysskin in the lead. The film is jointly produced by Ayangaran Internationals and GV Films. Isaignani Illayaraja joins with Mysskin for the first time and there are already six sensational tunes set by the maestro for the movie.

The shoot of Saritharam, directed by the controversial Saami of Mirugam, Uyir has also started yesterday. The movie is based on Silambattam, a traditional game and a kind of Martial arts of Tamils and has Raj Kiran as a Silambam Master and Aadhi the Mirugam hero as his loyal student. Shaam as an action hero started with the pooja of Agam Puram directed by Thirumalai (Thee Nagar fame).

Meera Jasmine's new film Deiva Magan pooja also performed in AVM in which she is featured opposite a debutant Dev. The movie is directed by debutant Vettri. Chera Nattu Solayile is another new film launched yesterday in AVM. Directed by Prathap Mani, debutants Jeevagan-Desika play in the lead roles.

Hope all would be released in time and turn profitable to the producer!
