Superstar Rajinikanth's Kuselan toppled all the recently released films including Kamal's Dasavatharam and occupied number one position at the end of the Box Office week. According to the reports, though the film received mixed reviews from the media, the power of the Superstar has made the producers and distributors happy in the opening week worldwide.
However, the booking position for the second week for the movie in Chennai is a bit lower than the first week and in the interior areas of Tamil Nadu it is not much impressive, as reports suggest.
In Telugu Box Office also Kathanayakudu, the Telugu version of Kuselan placed in the top position in the first week.
New comers Subramanyapuram placed well in the second position. Kamal Hassan's Dasavatharam was almost removed from most of the Theaters in Chennai after its 50th day run due to Kuselan's arrival.
