Rajini expresses his apology

After Superstar Rajinikanth expressed regret over a remark he made on the Hogenakkal water project issue, the pro Kannada activists Vattal Nagaraj and KRV people have withdrawn their protests against the actor and his film Kuselan that planned to release today in Karnataka. Before the Kuselan Review is out, the word of mouth has made the film very popular.

"By expressing regret, Rajinikanth has showed his greatness. We no longer oppose the release," KRV president Narayana Gowda said yesterday late evening.

"It is going to be a smooth screening for Kuselan. Rajini sir has shown his greatness by expressing his apology and regret to solve an issue, even it is not fruitful for him" Jayamala, the president of KFCC said.

Rajinikanth said Kannada channels in Hyderabad that his comment 'kick them' made during the Hogenakkal row was targeted at goondas and bad elements. He stressed that he was not at all referring to Kannadigas and Kannada organisations fighting for the cause of their language.

Expressing regret he said, "It was a mistake. I have learnt a big lesson from the people of Karnataka. What is important is that the mistake is not repeated. I will be careful while speaking in future and see that I don't hurt anybody. After all I'm not a politician. That is why it happened".

Rajinikanth said he respected good people in the state but never apologised to goondas. "I had witnessed for some worst violence caused for public disturbance and loss of public assets. Those people should be punished," Rajini says emotionally.

He also said that he always respects the good people like Shivarame Gowda, who are fighting for the cause of Kannada and he is with them.

Now all the 17 theaters that are going to release the film in the city geared up to release the film. The police also ensured security arrangements to screen the film without any more disturbances. "We have made elaborate security arrangements," Additional Commissioner of Police MR Pujar said.

Friends nothing to worry everything is clear here 1) Rajini sent a letter to Jayamala requesting their cooperation 2) Jayamala gave green signal for the film and theaters started selling the tickets. 3) But suddenly gundas started there protest purposely eve of the release. Can u imagine what will happen 4) do u think that fans will stay away from theaters even if gundas protest. Then imagine what will happen. There would have been a sure clash between fans and gundas. 5) This will surely end up damaging bus and public properties. So every unwanted things would have started there and spread to tamilnadu. 6) Even for those happenings they will condem rajini. 7)So I believe it is a smart move by our thalaiver to stop all this. I pray god to solve this problem smoothly without spoiling our thalaivar's image. I am not worried about rajini haters my concern is only about his fans.

I saw the whole apology drama by Rajni in TV9. I think he is just another selfish person who wanted his film to be released in Karnataka without any problems. By asking apology & by commenting that Kannada people taught him a lesson, he disappointed all the Tamil people who made him the Superstar. Though I am kannadiga, I feel he has done wrong right from the Hognekal hunger strike by giving ridiculous speeches. He does not have brain. All you Tamil people are fools who made him God.

JUNK ASS RAJINI: I was a rajini fan but now i am not since he apologized to kannadigas just to avoid giving one crore to KN distributors. He did not speak anything wrong in Kollywood Protest against Karnataka. "It is a very selfish act by rajinikanth aimed at releasing his Kuselan in Karnataka. Mr Rajinikanth has let us all tamilians down. He must clarify his apology to the people of Tamilnadu, who have made him a super star today" Illiterate Rajni’s fans, who were busy celebrating the release of Kuselan in the city, has no time for controversies. He should happily compensate his producers and distributors from his own pocket rather than apologise to them. His ‘U’ turn is a disgrace not just to him but also to his fans. He is neither tamilian nor kannadiga. Just a poilitician who knows how well he shd play to earn money using his poor fans. Guys,if you are true tamilian, u shd not support him.

Whatever the reason may be behind his apology, one thing is very clear. He's neither for tamils nor for kannadigas. He says, he LEARNED a lesson from karnataka but he EARNED a LOT from tamil nadu which he shouldnt forget at all. Mr Rajini, Your apology is the start of end of your fame in Tamil nadu. You will be payed heavily by tamils and kannadigas for playing with people's emotions. Mr Rajini, just learn how to speak n public. After all, you are not a kid to speak something sometime and later on begging sorry for those words.

protesting against anybody ever solved the problem?what improvement tamilians faced after that grand fasting.only when politicians sit together and really intend to solve the problem, the changes would come.we are not choosing right political leader.other actors are simply saying rajini is doing bad.but what they've done to the society?on that day rajini stood with tamil actors but even then many indirectly scolded him.nobody gave voice supporting him strongly.T.R. is scolding rajini for his appology.but even in his own theater he released kuselan.the people who really saying that they care for tamil people is just pretending so.they or even a single political leader has no right to curse rajini

Rajini sir, to seek apology does not solve the problem as in future the Kannadas will use this strategy against other actors/actresses too. Did you consider that or you did it just for the sake of releasing your "kuselan"?. I do agree you were once a bus conductor at that state but do not forget the land which boost your status and the people who till today support you and look upon you. How did you gain this popularity and above all the high status in the society? Once again, you could have said to resolve the issue temporarily just to avoid the producers/ investors/distributors who are involved in "kuselan", this will continue and they have upper hand now.
