The Kerala theatrical rights of Kamala Hassan's magnum opus Dasavatharam sold out for a whopping Rs.2.25 crores, as announced by its producer Ravichandiran yesterday! It is the first sale of the big budgeted extravaganza of the producer, who is going to release the film in Tamil Nadu and selective overseas area on his own!
Dasavatharam is now almost confirmed for release on Friday, April 18. The NRI who got the Kerala rights has roped in Lal Creations to distribute the film through out the state in record number of theatres. The owner of Lal Creations is none other than the famous villain artist of Tamil Lal (Sandakozhi, Orampo fame).
The distributors have already started making the bookings for Dasavatharam. It is notable that Dasavatharam will release at the time of Vishu. Mohanlal, Mammootty and Dileep starred films are also going to release in big manner at that time.
The audio release of the film will be held in Chennai in the presence of Asia's biggest star Jackie Chan on April 2nd and the producer is going to erect an extraordinary stage for the event with the budget of Rs. 80 lakhs!
