A fresh team is gearing up to make a film on Tamil Nadu CM Karunanidhi's life history.
Karunanidhi, popularly known as Kalaignar is one of the statesmen of Modern India who played a prominent role in Indian politics after the sudden demise of Indira Gandhi. His deep connection with Tamil film Industry is also known to even those Tamilians not residing in India.
Debutant director Sakthi G. who is a big fan of this multi faceted stalwart made a deep research to know the complete history and interesting happenings regarding the statesman. He has taken Nenjukku Neethi, an auto biography written by Kalaignar Karunanidhi to create this biopic perfectly, with the approval of Kalaignar. According to Sakthi, this is his lifetime ambition and a real service to the world of films as well as literature.
Apart from being a successful politician and administrator, Kalaignar has written screenplays for more than 70 films from MGR starrer Rajakumari to the recently released Uliyin Oosai.
According to the director, the filming is slated to start on November 15th at Thirukkuvalai, the birth place of Kalaignar.
