After Arasangam, the new project of Captain Vijayakanth Engal Aasan has been launched by the actor today at AVM with a simple pooja. Produced by Thangaraj behalf of Youvasri Creations, the film has two heroines for Vijayakanth. According to RK Kalaimani, the director of the film, the names of the lead ladies will be announced in a day or two.
After the completion of pooja, Vijayakanth, the hero of the film said, "Thangaraj, the producer of the film is my long time friend. Actually, he was one of the producers of my earlier film Periyanna, directed by SA Chandrasekhar. But due to some reasons he had withdrawn himself from the project."
While answering a question about his choice of political based films, he said, "I never imposed such scenes in my films. In fact, I would like to prefer a family oriented story. But it happened like that. I never insist my directors to write punch dialogues for me. It just happened, that's all."
The shooting of Engal Aasan will commence from March 20th at Pollachi and the director is planned to complete the film in single schedule.
