[an error occurred while processing this directive] Superstar Rajnikanth launched the audio of Puri Jagannath's Bujjigadu- Made in Chennai on Friday evening at a special function held at Andhra Club in Chennai. Rajnikanth who rarely attends functions has accepted to attend the event on the request of director Puri Jagannath. The film's lead pair and crew including hero Prabhas, Trisha, Sanjana, producer K.S. Ramarao and music director Sandeep Chowtha graced the function.
In his special address (in chaste Telugu) Superstar Rajnikanth praised director Puri Jagannath for his hard working skills and boldness to hold the function in Chennai. He says: "There are many reasons why I came to this audio launch but the primary one is because of Puri Jagannath. I had seen his Pokkiri and [an error occurred while processing this directive]Chirutha and I became his fan. All the big stars are banking on him to launch their sons. That proves his mettle. Also I attended the 100 days function of Puri's Kannada film, Appu and then late Rajkumar told me about Puri's greatness as director. My friends Chiranjeevi and Mohan Babu are always ion praise of his talents."
Though the South Cinema divided in the name of languages, Puri Jagannath, the director known for his blockbusters like Pokkiri, has come out with a bold attempt 'Bujjigadu – Made in Chennai'. The title is enough to convey the message of the film and is about how Chennai is the inseparable with South Cinema.
Not only in the title of the film, Puri is also bold enough to portray Rajinikanth, the Tamil Superstar, in a song as the undisputed matinee emperor of the south. On screen, Prabhas, the hero of Bujjigadu, praises and even worships the superstar throughout a song which goes, 'Thalaiva… Thalaiva… un Vazhi Thani Vazhi…'. sThe director also released the film's audio through the 'lucky' hands of Rajinikanth in Chennai yesterday amidst leading Telugu artists and film personalities.
After the formal audio launch, Puri Jagannath said, "No doubt, Rajinigaaru is the one and only superstar of Indian cinema. For lakhs of youngsters like me and Prabhas. he is our role model and guide. He is the man of simplicity and hard work. That is why I'm portraying my hero in this film as an ardent fan of superstar Rajinikanth. For me, Chennai is the cultural capital of South and the right place for launching any language film. If you have enough stuff in your product, the Chennai people will always patronise you. Most of the Telugu people know this fact. That is why I have titled my film as Bujjigadu made in Chennai."
He also said he is happy to be back at Andhra Club. "I have very fond memories of this club. In fact I'm one of the life time members of the club. First Puri and K.S. Ramarao suggested that I should launch formally at my residence, but I told them it is better to launch in big way and requested them to invite all the press. So I am glad to be here this club again," he said.
