The adorable couple of Tamil cinema, Surya and Jyothika celebrated their first wedding anniversary on Tuesday. Chief minister M Karunanidhi and former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa blessed the star couple over phone.

Surya and Jyothika's long time love affair culminated into marriage a year ago in a grand style. The couple are overjoyed for the fact that they are celebrating the occasion with their newborn girl child Diya.

Almost all the film personalities of Kollywood, including superstar Rajnikanth, Kamal Haasan, Sarath Kumar, Napoleon, Vijay, Madhavan, Dhanush, Prakash Raj, Ajith, Shalini, Sneha, and Asin participated in the function and wished the couple.

Directors K Balachander, Bharathiraja, Bala, Ameer, Vasanth, Gautham Menon, K S Ravikumar, S. P. Muthuraman, Lingusamy, Susi Ganesan, Dharani, K. Bhagyaraj, Priya, P. Vasu, music directors Ilayaraja, Bharadwaj, playback singers Bhavadharini, Harish Raghavendar, producers A.V.M. Saravanan, A. M. Rathnam among others graced the occasion.

Nadigar Sangam fasts to show solidarity

The one day token fast by the Nadigar Sangam to show their solidarity towards Srilankan Tamils was held in the Sangam's premises in Chennai on the 1st of November .

A grand dais was erected at the Nadigar Sangam premises in which actors and actresses led by Sarath Kumar gathered.

Tamanna to replace Nayantara

There was a huge rumour about Nayantara's place in Lingusamy's big budgeted movie with Karthi. According to the reports Nayantara is replaced by the young heroine Tamanna.

Aegan: Remake of Main Hoon Na

The audio of Ajith starrer Aegan will be launched on October 9, the auspicious day of Vijayadasami.

The shooting of Aegan is almost complete and the last song will be shot in an exotic place by the first week of October, before the release of the audio.

Produced by Ayngaran International, the film is the maiden Tamil venture by this multi faceted entertainment company.
