Actress Sivakasi Jayalakshmi got enough publicity after her involvement in a sex scandal with some police officials a few years back. The controversial lady has once again hogged the limelight but this time for different reasons.
Two years back, Jayalakshmi has leveled sexual harassment charges accusing nearly 8 police officials including a Superintendent of Police and a DSP. Responding to her accusations, the police alleged that she was guilty of cheating and also of misusing the police uniform and vehicles to deceive people. After they, leveled these charges against her, she was sentenced to a few months in prison. After which she was released.
[an error occurred while processing this directive]After that, she moves to a remote village and has been staying there since. Two weeks back, there was gossip going around that she was to appear in a seductive role in producer Anbalaya Prabhakaran's film Palaniappa Kallori. Jayalakshmi refused the role and was replaced by Malayalam actress Shakeela. Half of the film's shooting is over. Producer Anbalaya Prabhakaran's called for a press conference to clear things up.
He said, "The only reason why Jayalakshmi withdrew from my film is because the media reported that she will be playing a seductive role in my film. A few reports that came out in the press also said that she was ok with double meaning dialogues and also that she would do an item song. These reports scared her a bit."
He went on," She turned up on the first day of shooting and told me that she wouldn't be able to act in the film. I told her that I will give her an advance of Rs. 50,000 for her role which will be a clean role with no vulgarity. She then agreed. She didn't look well and was also not financially well off. I gave her Rs. 5000 more for her conveyance charges."
He added. "To my surprise, she returned after a few days, returned the amount back to me. She told that she would not be playing the role." Right now, she is living in a small remote village and has refused to talk to anybody. It is hard to believe that this is the same person who openly accused the police last year of involvement in a sex scandal.
