The Simbu-Tarun Gopi brawl!

By: Settu Shankar
Tuesday, September 18, 2007

The latest rumour doing rounds in Kollywood is the clash between Simbu and his director Tarun Gopi because of the latter's close links with the actress Sherin. It is said that the director and actor have beaten up each other because of the actor's intolerable interferences in the script and personal affairs of Tarun.

Kaalai is the forthcoming film of Simbu after his Vallavan directed by the 'Thimiru' fame Tarun Gopi. Vedika is playing in the lady lead role against Simbu. Sherin is also playing in an important role in this film. The shooting is almost nearing its completion and the film is expected to be released on Diwali day.

Ever since the launch of the movie, Simbu has been interfering in all the departments and started taking the director for granted ! A few days ago, when the director was taking a particular shot, Simbu interfered and gave some instructions to the director as to how to shoot the scene. Sherin had also attended the shoot on that day. According to the unit people, Simbu's behavior made the flustered director lose his temper; an irritated Gopi suddenly slapped the actor on the sets. Simbu immediately reacted to this and he roughed up the director. At one stage both were on the floor, kicking each other. Later, some people from the unit pacified them both, and after two days of silence, both of them resumed the shooting.

But Tarun Gopi has denied all these rumours and said, "These gossips and rumours are arising only because of professional jealousy. Actually we both have a good understanding, and the film is nearing its completion by the end of this month..."

Some of the Kaalai unit sources say that the director's close links with actress Sherin was the chief cause for the fight. But the director said, "Sherin is a very good friend of mine. Our friendship is more than just a director-actress relationship. Everyone in my unit knows about this fact…"

However, Simbu didn't react on this statement, and is keeping mum over the issue.

Simbhu to croon in Telugu

Simbhu is well known to the Telugu audience for his dubbed films like Vallabha and Manmadha. Simbhu will now croon for Manchu Manoj's film Nenu Meeku Telusa. The song is a remix of the song form the film Vayasu Pilichindi for which Ilayaraja scored the music. Acchu is the music director. The audio was unveiled by hero Balakrishna recently.....

Lekha - The Latest Sensation!

Though Jayam Kondan is a simple remake of Ace director Mani Rathnam's Agni Nakshathram, the film fetched rave reviews from all the corners and gave a new life to its three lead actors Vinay, Lekha Washington and Bhavana.

Lekha especially, is very happy and thinks that the film is the meaningful reply to Simbu, who had blamed her earlier for 'poor performance' in Kettavan.

Lekha, the former VJ SS music turned Cricket commentator of Sony TV has now become the most.....
