AVM Saravanan and M.S.Guhan are extremely happy over the response from the viewers for superstar Rajini's Shivaji from all over the world.

News is coming in about the overwhelming crowd turning in to watch the movie, both within the country, as well as overseas. AVM Saravanan says, 'from the day one of Shivaji release, there is an increasing demand for more prints from many countries. Today we sent 7 more digital prints to USA and 3 more to Malaysia. But the Malaysian exhibitors told that these prints are inadequate and have compelled me to send 10 more. We are extremely happy over the business of the film. We are proud to be associated with the superstar once again as he always proves his dominance over the industry. It is our pleasure in saying that the Tamil superstar is now a global superstar after Shivaji...

According to the production house, Shivaji has been released in more than 30 countries, including India. Huge crowd has been witnessed everywhere where the movie was released, and the opening for the film is just equivalent to a James Bond movie. The Kollywood box office pundits are at loss of words to comment on the film's huge success, and are totally awestruck by this new experience.

Saravanan says, 'There are demands to dub the movie into other languages, including Malay and Chinese. We are not planning anything now and will consider the demands only after consulting director Shankar and music-composer A. R. Rahman. Our exhibitors from many countries, including the US, are requesting me to increase the number of shows. In most of the overseas theaters, Shivaji shows will be extended for one more week. It is an all- time record for any Indian film abroad... "

First day collections in Malaysia set a new record:

In Malaysia, Shivaji is being screened in 40 theaters from 14th night onwards. The first day collection of the movie has scripted a new record in Malaysian box office. The film has collected Rs.60 Lakhs so far on the day one. The film has overtaken the previous high of Rs.32 lakhs collected by the Shankar directed movie Jeans in 1997. After seeing the uncontrollable first day crowd for Shivaji, the exhibitors have decided to screen the film in more theaters. There are 22 theaters additionally screening the film from Sunday onwards.' There is a festive mood prevalent in front of every theater where Shivaji was released' Saravanan said with immense pleasure!
