Music: Yuvan Shankar Raaja
Lyrics: Na. Muthukumar
After the stupendous hit of Poovellam Kettuppar audio (not the film), Yuvan Shankar Raja joined with director Vasanth again for Satham Podathey.
This album has already been placed well in the charts and proves Yuvan's excellence once again with a variety of songs. This album is a pure musical delight and each song is unique in its own way.
Na. Muthukumar is the lyric writer for all the songs and his catchy poetic lines surely deserve a special mention. Classical singer Sudha Raghunathan also rendered an unusual number for the young musician for the first time.
[an error occurred while processing this directive]Azhagu Kutti Chellam... (Shankar Mahadevan)
This is the top number in the album, a romantic number where the hero describes his love towards the girl. Yuvan's stylish composition and rich orchestration have made the song an instant hit.
O Kadhal... (Yuvan Shankar Raja, Adnan Sami)
This one is inspired by a western rap number and has been rendered by Yuvan Shankar Raja with Adnan Sami. Yuvan plays just a second fiddle and leaves Adnan to dominate in the vocals, but proves his might in fusion style orchestration.
Pesugiren... (Viva Girls)
It is a very soft and melodious number rendered by the girl band Viva, known for its racy numbers. It is the very first time in the industry that a music band has been given a chance to render a film song. The outcome is good and worth listening to.
Entha Kuthirayil... (Rahul Nambiar, Shreya Ghosal)
Though it begins on a slow note, the song gathers momentum as it progresses. It is a perfect number for music-lovers. Keeping in tune with the latest trend, the music composer has come good with a tune that has a right mix of melody and racy elements laced all through the song.
Kadhal Periyadha... (Sudha Raghunathan)
The most stylish song in the album is Kadhal Periyatha… rendered by veteran classical vocalist Sudha Ragunathan. It seems like the young musician has used the singer much more convincingly than his father. The peppy beats of the composer and the sexy voice of the singer make the song unforgettable.
Verdict: Yuvan rocks!
