Ameer 'Director Ameer should stop all his false propaganda against Studio Green, the producers of Paruthi Veeran. Otherwise we will have to take legal action on him...' S.R.Prakash Babu has said on behalf of the proprietor of Studio Green.

In a press release circulated to media in Chennai on Tuesday, Prakash Babu said, "Ameer, who directed Paruthi Veeran, has betrayed his promise and has delayed the completion of the film".

Referring to a recent interview by Ameer in a section of press in which Ameer had expressed his anger at the Studio Green, Prakash Babu, said, "The pooja was done on 21 July 2005, and the director agreed to work on a first-copy basis for a sum of Rs. 2.75 crore. Though it was an exorbitant rate for a film with new faces, I accepted to do the film because of my strong belief in its story. But when Ameer launched the movie, he changed the original story and planned to shoot with a different storyline. But I stood firm on the Paruthi Veeran story, and that only has given success to the film!"

[an error occurred while processing this directive]"After needlessly dragging issues for two months, Ameer started with his work. After shooting the movie for over 100 days in two schedules, he obtained Rs. 2 crores from us on a promise that he would complete the movie in a week".

Prakash Babu further said, "Ameer came with a sweet-coated promise that he would complete the film within a budget of Rs 3.5 crore. I was shocked, and repeated requests to obtain accounts from him yielded no results. Hence I advised the director that instead of giving entire rights for production that I will take control of the administration and asked him what his remuneration would be. But to my utter surprise, he demanded one crore, which shocked me. It is too high for a director like Ameer who just has two hits to his credit so far... ".

"On coming to know that we are prepared to go to the Producer's Council, Ameer agreed to complete the movie in a week's time. But that was done only after we underwent severe mental torture", he said.

"Ameer had manipulated our authorization letter and obtained censor certificate in the name of Team Work Production House, which is owned by him. Isn't it a betrayal? After settling all issues, when the movie was set for release, Ameer again demanded money to release the movie." " I questioned him about the money that he received because that money was borrowed as interest from other financiers. But Ameer did not bother to reply. As a result, we chose to release the film on our own. Ameer knows very well that if he sits before me and has a discussion, he owes me not less than Rs.50 lakhs. Such things are not going to be good for his career", Prakash Babu said.

Ameer is yet to react to this press release, and when our correspondent tried to get his reaction regarding studio green allegations, he replied that he would meet the press soon.
