Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Dr. Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi watched a special premiere of Thangar Bachaan's Pallikoodam at the Four Frames theater in Chennai on Sunday.
He was accompanied by his wife Rajaathi Ammal and daughter and Rajya Sabha MP Kanimozhi on the occasion. Thangar Bachan, along with his wife, also accompanied him. After watching the movie, Karunanithi heaped laurels on Thangar's directorial skills. He praised the script and idea of the director in portraying the life in some schools in a dilapidated condition in a new way.
Karunanithi said, "Films like Pallikoodam will infuse new energy into the commercialized world of cinema. Every Tamil should feel proud after watching this film".
[an error occurred while processing this directive]Meanwhile, superstar Rajinikanth also watched the movie in a special show organized by the producer at the Four Frames theater yesterday, and appreciated the director for a job well done.
It might be recalled that this film was selected for screening in this year's Cannes film festival and was later rejected without being screened.
In this movie, Thangar Bachan, Narain, Director Seeman and Sneha play lead roles. The musical score is by Bharadwaj and Vishwas Sundar has produced this film.
