Despite of all the Tamil films with English or other language titles being suddenly changed to Tamil in order to avail tax benefit, as announced by the Tamil Nadu State Government, there is one film coming with English title for the first time in the past one year. The film is titled as First Time. Interestingly, this is the first time that a movie based on metro life is being made in Tamil film industry.

According to the director of the movie Krishnan Seshadri Gomatam, an ad filmmaker turned director, 'the movie is refreshingly different- no blood curling violence; a loveable humorous self-deprecating hero; an intelligent, attractive and self-assured heroine; and romance that can start a baby-boom'.

"First Time is a movie that showcases Chennai like never before. The characters are urban, educated upper class people. The film is an out-and-out commercial venture and a slick city movie. It targets the educated, urban audience- a niche audience," said the PRO of the film Nikhil.

Krishnan Seshadri Gomatam had worked with two legends of Indian Cinema P.C.Sreeram and Mani Ratnam. The hero C.P.Sathyajith and heroine Anuja Ayer are both first timers in the film industry. However, there are veterans in the film like B. Lenin and Thotta Tharani and acclaimed professionals like Fowzia for cinematography and Aslam Mustafa for music. This is the first time that Tamil Cinema is being introduced to a new genre called Metro movie.

Now, First Time is taking up something for the first time!

Aishwarya avoids question on Shahrukh

The Bachchans and Shahrukh Khan always have friction in their relationship. When it just looked like Shahrukh had patched up with the Bachchans by attending the premier of Abhishek's Drona there was a twist in the tale. This time it involved Bachchan bahu Aishwarya who did not want to answer a question related to SRK. A journo asked if SRK was back in the Bachchan camp to which Ash replied that she cannot answer such a 'ridiculous question'.
