Dhanush starrer Polladhavan, directed by Vetrimaaran is slowly turning out to be the Diwali dark horse. On Friday, a weekend working day the average collection for the film in seven huge Chennai screens was an impressive 100 percent! AVM Rajeswari reported all the four shows as 'Houseful'!
The word of mouth for the film is very good and it is emerging as the front runner in Chennai city, and NSC area and Coimbatore. The trade says it may not do well in C centers due to excessive violence, but other sources say that it is going to pick up in areas like Madurai, Salem after the first week of Diwali.
Dhanush's father-in-law, the superstar himself saw the film only after its release, and is said to have told the producer and director of the film: "Everything fell into a groove because of the story, packaging and impressive performances by all the actors including Danush."
