Anbu Thozhi, a maiden film of politician turned actor Thol Thirumavalavan has been facing troubles from the Censor Board of India, Chennai region. The Board has raised objections to the leader's appearance as the leader of Sri Lankan rebels Velupillai Prabhakaran.

The officials at the Censor Board denied certifying the film contending that the scenes in the film hail the LTTE leader. It maybe recalled that Thirumavalavan had said a few months ago that the film fights for a good cause and the story is mainly based on the life of the LTTE supremo Prabhakaran.

Now Thirumavalavan has decided to knock the doors of revising committee to get the approval to screen the film. He was already informed the matter to the Chief Minister Karunanidhi, seeking his help to get rid of the problem. Last year, the revising committee had approved a movie filmed on the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi. Though the story of the film is closely linked with the LTTE and their activities, the board hasn't raised any objections and gave few cuts to the film and allowed its release with U/A certificate.

Meanwhile, Thirumavalavan, the leader of Viduthalai Chirutahikal Katchi has signed two more films in Tamil. Kalagam is the one among his new project and Mu.Kalanchiyam, the director of Poomani and Poonthottam is going to direct it after a long gap. Since Thiruma is going to sing the duet with the heroine for the first time in this film, the director is taking much careful in selecting a suitable heroine for the leader.
