Shiva's films guarantee entertainment, but Sonna Puriyadhu, which revolves around Shiva, who is commitment phobic and hates the idea of marriage, fails in the effort of delivering a wholesome entertainer. What it does manage to deliver finally is not even remotely close to other films of Shiva...
Shiva plays a unique dubbing artist who refuse marriage and leads a happy-go-lucky existence with his buddies. Buying a posh Volkswagen vehicle is his only motto in life for some trivial reason. But like 99% of other Indian movies, our hero has to fall in love with a girl and walk hand-in-hand...

Yesterday watched Pattathu(PETER) Yaanai only for Santhanam, I got head ache..a Worst Movie of recent times... Today watched Sonna-Puriyadhu.. Shiva One Line comedy and scenarios tickling funny bones.. I enjoyed those portions.. But little dragging for known climax in the end, not too much as I expected.. Music Esp.Songs not up to the standars... Movie is Short, enjoyed the comedy & naughty... Shiva Hindhi Song Rosa, Dance Moves(in all songs)... Everyone was natural, compared to yesterday PETER YAANAI... Sam Anderson must be used better, its ok... If with second Half Tout Screenplay, better Songs.. the Movie could have been a Clear Winner for the season... I personally believed, it is not marketed well Like TAMIL PADAM, otherwise I could have not decided to go for PETER YANAI First (no movie in choice for me).... Shiva with his usual ANDAA VAAI is rocking with his one-liners.. :-)
