If you expect the same old magic of Maniratnam's movie, you 'll not be satisfied. If you watch Raavanan without any expectations you 'll feel the new magic of Maniratnam. This magic works out with Vikram as Raavanan, but not quite sure Abishek made it out in Hindi Raavan.

I can rate this movis as mani rathams worst movieâ�¦everâ�¦ How come he direct a movie without any logic, even the character shaped out is worstâ�¦being a legend should not make mistakes like thisâ�¦he must have shaped the character the bestâ�¦any howz passed let us expect the best on the up coming daysâ�¦. Dont worry mani sir,you prove it once again that you are legendâ�¦ Lots of fans are waiting for your up coming projectâ�¦Do concentrate on one movie,either hindi, or tamil, give your bestâ�¦

Aish's characterization is wonderful.Vikram has given his best to fit Veera.Prithvi has done his job perfectly, but he could have had moustache.It could have added weightage to his rough and tough character.Karthik and Prabhu proved themselves once again....
