One of the best movie. Screenplay, Direction, Acting, Camera, Music all are great. Trump card performance by Kamal and Sridevi. Kamal delivers one of the best performance in the climax. He won the Indian National Film Award for his performance. Sridevi too deserves the award for her performance. Through out the film it was Sridevi who rules the screen and kamal underplays. But with his last 10 minutes performance kamal made everyone forgot about Sridevi's 2hrs excellence. Without Illayaraja's BGM the film will be only half effective. BaluMahendra's direction and camera work were excellent.
