As reports suggest, ace director Mani Ratnam's next film is to be made based on epic Ramayana and titled as
Ravan. The Abhishek Bachchan – Aishwarya starrer bilingual will hit the floors once the director finalizes the star cast.
According to the sources, Abhishek Bachchan plays as Ram and Aishwarya plays as Sita in this film. For Ravan character, Mani has finalised Aditya Pancholi in the Hindi version. Govinda will play the role of Hanuman, as sources say.
For Tamil, the director has already approached Vikram and Karthik for some crucial roles. As per the last minute reports, Karthik will play the role of Ravan in Tamil version while Vikram is fixed for Hanuman character.
However the director is yet to confirm the news on this project. It can be recalled that Mani Ratnam has already made a blockbuster movie
Dalapathy with Superstars Rajini and Mammootty based on the other epic of the country Mahabharath.
