Britney-Rihana kiss 'too vulgar' for TV

Parental Television Control (PTC) has expressed its concern to American Broadcasting Company (ABC) over the Britney Spears-Rihana kiss, as they believe the kiss was 'too vulgar' to be shown on television, that too on primetime.

The two talented singers had shared a smooch, while performing the song "S&M", which kick started the Billboard Music Awards. ABC television network had aired the whole award ceremony live, on May 22 from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Tim Winter, the president of PTC has expressed his outrage in a statement which said, “What happened in Vegas should have stayed in Vegas, as the saying goes," he said, adding, “It certainly has no place at 8:00 pm. on the publicly-owned broadcast airwaves."

Tim went on to say that the television shouldn't have broadcast the 'kiss act' on primetime. “I cannot imagine what would possibly lead the ABC television network to air a profanity-laced, S&M sex show on primetime broadcast television. The overtly sexualized performance by Rihana and Britney Spears was no accident or mishap, but a deliberate effort to target teens with images and lyrics that glamorize whips, chains and other sexual fantasies," he said.

However, this is not the first 'kiss controversy' that has surrounded singer Britney Spears. In 2003, the singer had shared a kiss with Superstar Madonna at the VMA awards, which resulted in big controversy. She seems to have not learned from her past experience.
