AR Rahman bags two Grammy Awards

The Mozart of Madras has done it again and made the entire nation proud. AR Rahman who was nominated in two categories at the 2010 Grammy Awards and he won both of them. The 44 year old musician who the Best Compilation soundtrack for a motion picture and the Slumdog Millionaire song 'Jai Ho" won the Best Motion Picture Song. Rahman will share the Best Motion Picture Song with with the great lyricist Gulzar who penned the 'Jai Ho' song.

An excited Rahman who has already won two Oscar Awards last year for Slumdog Millionaire while accepting the second award said “This is insane, god is great again." Rahman faced stiff competition and in in the Best Song category Rahman's beaten rivals included Bruce Springsteen for his song "The Wrestler," from the Oscar-nominated movie. In the Best Compilation category he beat Steve Jordan for Cadillac Records, Quentin Tarantino for Inglourious Basterds, Twilight and True Blood.
