He said, "Someone asked me the other day, 'What does it feel like now to have a hood pass?,' " Mayer told Playboy. "If you really had a hood pass, you could call it a n---- pass But I said, I can't really have a hood pass. I've never walked into a restaurant, asked for a table and been told, 'We"re full. "

But on Wednesday, John Mayer, "Re: using the 'N' word in an interview, I am sorry," he Tweeted. "I should have never said the word and I will never say it again."

Exactly Reg, even though it's "desensitized."

ummm....black music co-opting/imitating white boy. Nothing really interesting about him- not even his controversy. If he isn't trying to be "raw", there isn't anything else to pay attention to. His words speak of a inner secret fear that he is not "enough" and now the cat is out of the bag. Isn't his 15 minutes about up anyway?

For the record, he only apologized for using the "n" word. He never apologized for his rude and derogatory remarks about black women.
