London, (ANI): Former Spice Girls member Melanie Brown, known as Scary Spice during the band's heydays, is said to be eager for the girls to reunite for a last show at the World Cup in South Africa.

Mel B and her husband Stephen Belafonte are said to have put together a deal for the girls, and she is determined to persuade the group to perform a one-off concert in the same week the tournament kicks off next June.

“Mel's determined to get the girls back together for the World Cup and wants them to plough ahead as a foursome if Victoria doesn't want to take part," the Sun quoted a pal of hers as saying. “She has got the others excited by the idea of a one-off appearance. They are very interested," the friend stated.

She has already got Ginger Spice Geri Halliwell, Baby Emma Bunton and Sporty Melanie Chisholm on board, but is yet to convince Posh Victoria Beckham. And she is trying to convince the rest to carry on without Posh if necessary.
