Washington, (ANI): R and B superstar Rihanna has dismissed rumours that she and ex-beau Chris Brown have rekindled their romance - insisting she checked into the same hotel as her former lover by 'coincidence.' Rumours that the two have reunited started making rounds after it was reported that both of them booked rooms at the same Manhattan hotel.

Both booked into the Trump International Hotel and Tower in the Big Apple and spent the weekend there. However, a rep for Rihanna has rubbished the reports, insisting the former lovers were not there together. "This was a coincidence. She's stayed there before, as have thousands of other people," Contactmusic quoted the rep as telling U.S. news show Access Hollywood.

The pair parted ways earlier this year (09) after Brown was arrested and charged with beating Rihanna during a fight in February (09). Last month, he was sentenced to a harsh community service order and five years' supervised probation after pleading guilty to the attack. Brown was ordered to stay away from the 'Umbrella' hitmaker at the sentencing.
