London (ANI): Inspired by AR Rahman"s Oscar winning song 'Jai Ho", pop group Pussycat Dolls have filmed a Bollywood-influenced music video for their new song. In the video, baring similarities to the scenes from Danny Boyle"s Slumdog Millionaire starring Dev Patel and Frieda Pinto, lead singer Nicole Scherzinger is seen walking around a train station, followed by a mystery man, while his bandmates record him.

While the song composed by Rahman, combines traditional Indian sounds with urban beats, Scherzinger has even written some additional lyrics herself, giving it a new twist. “It"s such an honour to be able to collaborate with A.R. Rahman and be a part of the Slumdog Millionaire project in some way - I found the movie"s story and music very spirituality uplifting," the Sun quoted her as saying.

The film, which tracks the story of an 18-year-old slum boy from rags-to-riches, triumphed this year"s Oscars with 8 awards, including two for Rahman.

what a load of crap!!! the PCDs look like hookers and they cant leave our culture well alone without tainting it! she is attending talk shows etc wearing bindis and dupattas, whilst wearing next to nothing - a load of hypocrisy and trying to put a terrible twist on what is such a refined culture! a. r rehman should never have allowed this to happen - especially not with them - someone more refined like alicia keys etc would have done a better job even though it didnt need a western slant! p.s they cant even pronounce jai ho properly in the song... chumps!
