The King of Pop Michael Jackson, who died of suspected cardiac arrest on June 25, will be laid to rest today after a memorial service.

Michael Jackson's family is planning a private funeral ceremony at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Hollywood Hills, two weeks after his death. The memorial service to be held at Los Angeles' Staples Center is expected to draw millions of Michael Jackson fans from all over the world. Out of more than 1.6 million fans who registered for the online ballot to attend the ceremony, 8,750 have been selected.

Big names in music like Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey, Diana Ross, Paul McCartney and Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson are expected to perform at the memorial service of Michael Jackson. Sources say that his funeral ceremony will be much bigger than that of Princess Diana's and Elvis Presley's. Surprisingly, the singer's ex-wife Debbie Rowe will not attend the funeral, as she thinks that her presence would spoil the celebration.

Only Jackson's family and close friends are to attend a private funeral service of the King of Pop. His mortal remains will be buried at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Hollywood Hills.

May his soul rest in peace!
