[an error occurred while processing this directive]London (ANI): Late Stephen Gately's civil partner Andrew Cowles has said that he does not want anything of the singer's 10-million-pound estate. The 'Boyzone' singer's 32-year-old partner instead told lawyers running the tragic star's estate that Stephen's family and good causes deserver his money more than him.

"I don't want a penny. I was never with Stephen for his money and don't need it now," The Mirror quoted Cowles as telling a pal. He added: "I want his family and his favourite charities to get the cash."

The windfall would see the Dublin-born singer's mum Margaret, dad Martin, sister Michelle and brothers Mark, Alan and Tony set up for life. The Internet tycoon's pal said: "He feels they were a huge support to Stephen throughout his life and that is what he would have wanted. He wants some good to come out of his death and for charities and his family to be recognised."

Grief-stricken Andrew met lawyers earlier this week and made his wishes clear. A source close to him added: "Andrew told them he had no desire to inherit the millions Stephen made through his success. He pointed out their relationship was always based on love and not material things and that's the way he wanted it to stay even after his death."

The couple met in 2003 and tied the knot in a 2006 civil ceremony in London by exchanging 18,500 pounds rings.
