Lady Gaga lands in Irish gig scandal

[an error occurred while processing this directive]London (ANI): Singer Lady GaGa is at the centre of a legal row involving an Irish entertainment company and a New York talent agency over a bogus concert deal. Lawyers for Grooveyard Ltd have slapped a 666,670-pound lawsuit against American Talent Agency, claiming the company duped them into booking concerts when they did not even represent the singer.

According to TMZ.com, Grooveyard alleges a 213,350-pound deal was drawn with the agency to jet the star to Europe for concerts in Dublin and Belfast in October, reports the Daily Express.

But the gig promotion company, based in Ireland, was left baffled after receiving a cease-and-desist order by bosses at AEG Live, who have the sole authority to book the Poker Face hitmaker. Grooveyard is now seeking compensation for the sham.
