London (ANI): Girls Aloud member Cheryl Cole is said to have wowed even co-judge Simon Cowell with her solo performance at 'The X Factor'. Wearing a raunchy military-style outfit, Cole, 26, performed her solo single 'Fight for This Love', and received a standing ovation from all the judges at the show.

"This is really going to pain me, but that was incredible," the Mirror quoted Cowell as saying. "I'd take you in my category any day," he added. Cole, who was clearly thrilled with her own performance, told host Dermot O'Leary she thoroughly enjoyed it.

"I feel fantastic. I've really enjoyed myself. It took me right back to the days of Pop Stars: the Rivals," she said. "I'd like to thank everyone so much for all the support and making me so welcome," she added.

Had Cheryl Cole been one of the contestants on the X Factor she would have been the first voted off. It was a terrible performance. Only the week before she criticised Kandy Rain for looking like tarts and she turns up looking like a stripper. As for Simon Cowell's comments he would have been better saying nothing now he looks a fool.
