"Our forecasts show Pete will earn between 4million pounds and 5million pounds next year," the Daily Star quoted his agent Claire Powell, as saying. Andre's record Revelation has already gone platinum, with sales of over 300,000. "We are all absolutely delighted," Graham Stokes, owner of Conehead Records, who entered into a 1million pound deal with Andre earlier in the year, said.
He added: "There is no reason his musical career cannot go from strength to strength. He is a highly-regarded recording artist and will continue to shift sales over the next 12 months." HMV spokesman Gennaro Castaldo said: "His star appears very much in the ascendancy again while sales of Katie Price merchandise would appear to be down."
According to Gary Howard of Marshall Arts, concert promoters, Andre will cash 1.4million pounds from ticket sales alone in 2010. "To start with we put on 29 shows but they flew out of the window. In the end we put on 37 shows and we have filled them all except one," he said.
Howard added: "We could have filled 100. In total we have shifted 70,000 tickets at 24-pound a pop, not to mention all the merchandise sales. I had three of the UK's top promoters working on the sales alone. Peter now holds the record for the fastest-selling show at the Indigo club at London's O2 Arena.
"We filled that in a day so we put on another show at the Hammersmith Apollo, selling another 3,500 tickets. That's 6,000 tickets in London, not to mention the other sales around the country." Meanwhile, The Perfume Shop's Nicky Bates revealed that Andre's perfume has been the top-selling ladies' scent of this year.
She said: "We are excited to be working with Peter on the No.1 new ladies'-fragrance for 2009." His agent Claire said: "What has happened to Pete over the last eight months has been traumatic but the business side of things has been amazing."
She added: "People see him as a genuine guy, that is why sales of his records and endorsements have increased tenfold. Only last week Pete signed a deal to work with Coca-Cola."
