Yoko Ono sues filmmaker over Lennon's song Imagine

John Lennon
Washington (ANI): Yoko Ono is suing a filmmaker for using her late hubby, Beatles legend John Lennon's track 'Imagine' without permission. She is being joined in the suit by son Sean, and Lennon's son from his first marriage Julian, as well as publisher EMI Blackwood Music Inc. Together they are taking the makers of Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed to court.

Papers filed at U.S. District Court in Manhattan, New York show that Ono is seeking to bar Premise Media Corporation, C+S Production LP and Rocky Mountain Pictures from further using Lennon's track. However, the producers of the movie are not giving in, stating the fair use doctrine in their argument that allows the use of copyrighted materials for the purposes of commentary and criticism.

In a statement, they said that they were disappointed that a lawsuit had been brought against them. "We are disappointed therefore that Yoko Ono and others have decided to challenge our free speech right to comment on the song 'Imagine' in our documentary film," Contactmusic quoted the studio, as saying.

He claims his late father screamed into his ear during an angry outburst. "(He was) teaching me how to cut and eat steak, which was.....

Macca denies John Lennon's gay relationship

However, Macca is adamant Lennon did not have homosexual tendencies- but admits they often shared a bed. "I don't think (the gay claims) are true. John never ever tried anything, I slept with him a million times," the Sun quoted him, as saying. "I've.....

Oh I have no pity for right wing filmmakers with movies pushing forth an agenda for intelligent design. Yoko, Julian and Sean are within their rights. Rule #1: If you want to use a song you better have permission. Ben Stein and company did not so tough, they get sued. If the right wing filmmakers supposedly have some god on their side, then let the deity represent them in court. Don't forget, Ben Stein worked for Nixon. Nixon tried to kick Lennon out of the US. I suppose this is karma.

"Imagine no possessions...I wonder if you can. Imagine all the people, living life in peace." Hehehehe, sue me, sue you...Imagine no lawsuits, I wonder if you can. Just let it go, like the song preaches. I wonder if you can.
