Cher in talks to play Catwoman in next 'Batman' film

New York (ANI): Singer Cher is reportedly in talks to play Catwoman in the next 'Batman' film. At 62, the Oscar-winner would be the oldest actress to fill the catsuit, following Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry.

But the new Catwoman, "will be the absolute opposite of Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry's purring creations," a studio exec told Britain's Telegraph newspaper. Cher is reportedly director Christopher Nolan's top choice to play the role, reports The New York Daily News.

The third Batman installment, "The Caped Crusader," is due to begin filming next year.

I don't get it, how is Cher going to be the opposite of Michelle, and Ms. Berry...especially when their two Catwoman's are already complete total opposites?????????? Obviously they can't do an opposite of both. So, I assume they'll go down the Pfeiffer route. I don't like how they make it seem like Pfeiffer's was like a kids version of catwoman. Weirdo's. Like how they acted like Jack's Joker just ran around entertaining little children, and that Tim Burton's movies were for kids while Norton's movies are dark and mysterious. They're pretty much the same for real though...maybe Burton's were a bit darker if anything. No one has a good opinion of Norton's vs. Burton's because Batman Forever and Robin ruined the series, and that's all people remember. They think Burton did that crap.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO that would be a HORRIBLE choice; don't get me wrong i have nothing against her, but she just does not fit the part. Even when people doubted Heath as a great joker, i thought he would be fantastic for the part. I have none of those feelings w/ cher as catwoman and im sure many agree; they need somebody younger, with a fresher look, preferably somebody unknown who can embody the same elegance as christian bale, while also being able to portray a character who has a dark side.

This is bull***t, I hate how these so called entertainment sites spew out rumors in order to get readers. Oh, and by the way, the next film is NOT going to be called Caped Crusader.

Cher? CMon , no way. Dont ruin the franchise. Bale is a good batman, ledger was a fantastic joker. and cher as catwoman, dont ruin what could be a great film.
