The ASI has denied the permission citing the damage done during the shooting of Mere Brother Ki Dulhan recently. "The permission has been denied due to the damages done (earlier). But the music launch will happen at Lawns of Taj Khema, eastern gate of Taj Mahal tomorrow afternoon," sources told the PTI.

However, Ek Deewana Tha is a romantic drama, which is a dream child of director Gautam Menon. The movie stars Prateik Babbar and Amy Jackson in the leads. AR Rahman has composed music for the lyrics of Javed Akthar. The film is slated to release next year.
