Mile Sur Mera Tumhara returns in new form

Mile Sur Mera Tumhara, the song on national integration that used to air on TV in 1988 is about to return with a whole new different look and different stars. Ad filmmaker Kailash Surendranath and his wife Aarti had produced the song. They are now bringing a new version of the song back with new artistes. The original featured celebrities from different fields like acting, sports and music.

Only one artiste is the same as that in the old version is Amitabh Bachchan. He revealed that his part of the shoot was at Taj hotel. He also reveals that a part of the original song, composed by Louis Banks and P Vaidyanathan, was sung by him. His son, Abhishek and daughter-in-law, Aishwarya have also featured in the new version.

Ranbir Kapoor was chosen for the song as the youth icon. Ranbir shot for his parts at Yash Raj Studios in Film City. Some more people from the acting world to feature in the song are Deepika Padukone and Shilpa Shetty. Deepika proudly states that her father was in the first one, now she"s in the second. The news was confirmed by Aarti Surendranath who didn"t divulge anymore details stating that they wanted to keep it quiet until it was ready.

his is a very bad version of mile sur mera thumhara. some songs are better kept away from remixing. first half is average and last half looks like a bollywood flick, every one wants to show their face. Pathetic representation of india.

Where are Kashmiri & Sindhi renditions which were there in the original version. Instead of adding more languages(say Manipuri, Konkani, Kokborok, Nepali, etc) the makers reduced the number of Languages. Essence of 'Mile Sur' is integration of so many languages concluding the same thing i.e we all are Indians first our differences notwithstanding. Still what the makers tried to do was a genuine & honest attempt and that should be applauded. Everything cant be perfect(would hav luvd if it had been)
