Arikil Oraal is a much hyped movie directed by Sunil Ibrahim owing for its cast. Starring Indrajith, Nivin Pauly and Remya Nambeesan in the lead, the movie was in news for many reasons. The movie hit the theaters last Friday (30 August) and is claimed to be an average flick.

MD Siddharth is an Ad director. He comes from Bangalore to Kochi and joins in a new office as a creative designer, where Aarathi is the head. He has a girlfriend Veena, who also lives in Kochi with her friends. She is a trained classical dancer. She has a good friend named Icha, who is a waiter in cafe. Veena introduces Icha to her boyfriend Siddharth.

Finding it not affordable to stay alone in Kochi, Siddharth plans to share the room with Icha. But later on, some extra-ordinary behavoiur of Icha makes Siddharth doubts him. To his surprise, Siddharth finds that Icha is not a single person and that Icha can be visible at two places simulataneously. A lot of incidents happen which makes him and Veena realise the truth that Icha is not a single person. They take the help of a psychologist Sudheer Bose. The intriguing scenes that follows form the rest of the story.

Arikil Oraal

This mystery thriller is directed by Sunil Ibrahim. Chapters was the first movie by the director. The movie is produced by Ashiq Usman under the banner of milestone cinemas.

Characters

Indrajith plays the role of Siddharth. Veena is played by Remya Nambeesan. Nivin Pauly has enacted the role of Icha. Prathap Pothen has played the role of Sudheer Bose, the psychologist and Aarathi has been portrayed by Lena Abhilash.

Indrajith

The actor is in limelight after the release of all his movies. But this is the first time he is enacting the role of an Ad director. He has done full justice to his role and his performance is said to be the only highlight in the film.

Remya Nambeesan

The actress has once again proved her calibre with Arikil Oraal. She has played a trained dancer in this film. She got the rare opportunity to lend her voice for her own performance in this film.

Nivin Pauly

The actor was more popular as a romantic hero. But this movie has showcased him with a different character.

Positives

The first half of the movie has a punch. It keeps one clinge to his seat. Some good work can be noticed in areas like music, choreography, etc. All the cast have done full justice to their roles.

Negatives

The second half of the film lacks interesting moments. The humour factor is lacking. The movie also seems to be lagging at some places which might make you bored.

Verdict

Arikil Oraal is an average movie. The only highlight is Indrajith's performance. Do not expect very much from this mysterious thriller.
