Directed by veteran director Joshy, who made a multitude of hits in Malayalam, Twenty:20 is said to be a film in which every actor has equal footage. Though the filmmakers are tight-lipped about the storyline and the roles of the stars, this big budget movie is expected to have a big canvas that can effectively show all the artists in adequate roles.
As per reports, the movie will tell the story of a big family feud that has been passed on for generations between the two biggest families in central Kerala. The film evolves around a murder mystery. [an error occurred while processing this directive]It has been reported that Mohanlal is playing a character Jagannathan, the most successful businessman in Kerala, while Mammootty is playing the role of an advocate. Dileep will appear as the younger brother of Mohanlal. Suresh Gopi is again in a police role as a stern upright Dy SP having a longstanding rivalry with the character played by Lal.
Sibi K. Thomas-Uday Krishna team has written the script which gives ample space for all these stars to perform their best in their respective characters. Ace cinematographer P. Sukumar cranks the camera for the movie while Ranjan Abraham handles the editing.
Twenty:20 will feature three songs by Suresh Peters and Berny Ignatius. One is a festival song canned on the young stars including Prithviraj, Jayasuriya, Indrajith, Kunchakko Boban and the highest paid South Indian actress, Nayantara. The second song will be filmed on Dileep and Bhavana. The third will be a song in the end credits, which will feature all biggies in the South.
Although the film features a great number of artists, the makers assure that the film will never be an overlong affair, running for less than two hours and forty minutes. As the title signifies, let's hope the movie would be exciting like watching a Twenty:20 cricket match.
