A lot of singers are turning actors these days. After Vineeth Sreenivasan, Jyotsna and Renjini Jose were bitten by the acting bug, it is now the turn of singer Vijay Yesudas to enter films as an actor. He will be playing the lead role in debutante Nandan Kaavil"s film, Avan.
The movie also stars Bala, who plays the other lead. Avan will start shooting in a few weeks" time.
Millennium Stars, which released in 2000, had seen Vijay Yesudas" debut as a singer. He is the son of renowned singer, K J Yesudas and has crooned a number of hit songs. He has also won a state award for his song, 'Kolakuzhal' from the film, Nivedyam.
