Superstar Mammootty is planning to take a month break from his acting. The 2009 saw the actor with 8 releases, in variety roles like that in Pattanathil Bhootham. He was also awarded the Doctorate by both Calicut and Kerala Universities. 2010 began like a bitter gourd to say and his first release Drona bombed at the box office. Later came the Thilakan issue that made the whole film industry into great trouble and dispute.
Thilakan was suspended from their association AMMA. Mammootty remained mum in this issue and wanted the problem to be solved within themselves. For all this he thinks its better to take a break and then to start fresh. According to him all work and no rest is tiring. In the meantime, Mammootty is busy shooting for his films Pramani with Sneha and Pokkiri Raja with Prithviraj and Shreya Saran. Jagadeesh's first directional venture Amar Akbar Antony will be the first film for him after the break.
