Priayadarshan
The name Priyadarshan is synonymous with remakes as adaptations. The director who has made a place of his own by remaking popular Malayalam movies in Hindi like Hera Pheri, Garam Masala, Bhagam Bhag, Hulchul and Bhool Bhulaiya is back to his chosen area.

Malayalam movie Vellanakalude Naadu which was released way back in 1989 with Mohanlal in the lead role is to be remade in Hindi with Akshay Kumar in the lead. The original Malayalam version was scripted by none other than Sreenivasan. The Hindi verso titled as Khatta Meetta will also be special in another way. This movie help the South Indian beauty Trisha gain a foothold in Bollywood.

Priyadarshan recently won the national award for the Malayalam movie Kanchivaram, a realistic movie in every sense of the term. It has come as a surprise that a director who vociferously lashed against the media for branding him as a remake director is back to making remakes. Who said that you have to stand by what you say or preach!

There are 2 substantial mistakes in the above scrap. 1. Kanchivaram was a Tamil movie 2. Priyan is standing by his word. he said that the pseudo intellectuals who brand him as a remaker are not going to see him refrain from making remakes. Despite the bad name the movies might fetch , he will continue to make the movie he wants not wht the critique wants.
