Believe it or not, Mohanlal has announced nearly 42 movies to be released from this year onwards. He is expected to release 10 movies in 2009 alone!
Director Prasanth Mampully's Bhagavan, Amal Neerad's Sagar Alias Jackie - Reloaded, Albert's Nair San, Joshy's Karnan, Blessy's yet-to-be titled film, Roshan Andrews' Casanova, Lal Jose's Cousins, Anwar Rasheed's untitled film, Shafi's Hello Mayavi and Murali Nagavally's Alexander The Great are the ten movies expected to grace theatres this year.
Other announced ventures (which are already titled) are Thalaivan Irukkiraan (Kamal Hassan), Bheeshmar (A.K. Lohitadas), Yugapurushan (R. Sukumaran), Dasanum Vijayanum (Rafi Mecartin), Kandahar (Major Ravi), Kadal (Shaji N. Karun), Aroma Mani (Joshi), Ettam Classum Gusthiyum (Johnny Antony), Kudumba Chithram (Johnny Antony) and Krishna (R. Sarath).
Other films (which are still untitled) will be directed by Gautham Menon, Thomas Sebastian, M. Padmakumar, Siddique, Priyadarshan, Kamal, Renjith, Shaji Kailas, Hari Kumar, Sathyan Anthikkad, Thambi Kannanthanam, S.L. Puram Jayasurya (two films), Shafi, Valiyaveetil Siraj, Renji Panicker, Seven Arts, Jayaraj, Bipin Prabhakar, Rafi-Mecartin, Joshi and B. Unnikrishnan. So it is clear that we will have an array of Mohanlal movies in the next 2-3 years.
