Director Renjith is leading the Capitol Theatre to start the shooting of Kerala Cafe, a collection of 10 ten minutes movies by ten famous filmmakers. All of these movies are bound together by the only connecting concept of 'Yatra' (journey) which runs through the compendium.
Shyamaprasad, Shaji Kailas, Lal Jose, B Unnikrishnan, Revathy, Padmakumar, Uday Ananthan, Anjali Menon and debutante Shankar Ramakrishnan are the filmmakers who have joined the Capitol Theatre venture. Renjith aims to share the experiences of these accomplished filmmakers, while promoting a novel concept as well. All the movies will attempt to give a new perspective of the changing life of the modern Malayalees.
Each director tries to convey a different viewpoint and so they have roped in the apt stars as well. Padmakumar has opted for Prithviraj, Shaji Kailas has zeroed on Sureshgopi and Mammootty is to join hands with Lal Jose for his version of the journey.
