Bodyguard by director Siddhique which was scheduled to release on July 14 is to release only during Ramzan. The movie features Dileep and Nayantara in the lead roles. Stunt master Thyagarajan has made a comeack through this movie as well.
Many reasons are being cited for the delay in the movie release. MACTA workers' protest march and the poor fate of Moss n Cat at the theatres are some of the reasons cited for this time lapse. The Moss n Cat debacle has immensely tarnished the image of Dileep and therefore theatre owners are not willing to take up this picture.
However reports say that Bodyguard is expected to be an out and out comedy evoking the fond memories of the earlier Dileep movies
