Director Vinayan, general secretary of MACTA, today welcomed the decision to conduct a fresh election in the MATCA federation within three months, as an attempt to resolve the present crisis in the Malayalam film industry at the meeting convened by the Indian Film Employees Confederation (IFEC) and Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) in Chennai on Wednesday.
However, Vinayan denied the news that the meeting has decided to disband the existing executive committees in the MACTA federation. He also refused to disclose whether he will contest in the polls.
