Action hero Suresh Gopi's upcoming venture Boss, directed by Nizar, is progressing in full swing in and around Kochi. (Nizar had made a comeback with yet another Suresh Gopi starrer Bulle.) Scripted by Satheesh.K. Sivan and Suresh Menon, Boss is produced by S. Shajahan under the banner of Royal Arts. Singer-actress Vasundhara Das, who debuted in Malayalam with the super hit Ravana Prabhu in 2001, is the lead lady. Other cast members include Innocent, Rajan P. Dev, Harisree Asokan, Kottayam Nazeer and Unda Pakru.
Boss, a mix of humour and action, revolves around gang wars between two Kochi-based notorious groups, led by Boss (Suresh Gopi) and Mallikkettu (Kalabhavan Mani). The Boss' gang includes veterans Innocent, T.G. Ravi, Cochin Haneefa, Harisree Asokan, Undapakru and Santosh Jogi while Mallikkettu's gang is packed with hulky thugs. Boss is a big time international gangster who operates from Kochi, Goa and Dubai. With the arrival of Pooja (Vasundhara Das), a top Tamil-Telugu actor, the situation changes quite abruptly, bringing a suspense twist in the story.
