Sithara back to movies

Homely Sithara did not have much success in Malayalam in the early stages of her career. But like many other actresses, she met with success in other languages, especially in Tamil and Telugu, maintaining a steady stream of film releases for half a decade.

Now, Sithara is returning to films after a break. She has reportedly bagged a prominent role in a flick by Mirugam fame Saami opposite Raj Kiran. Shooting will start from the first week of September. The movie will feature Aadi and Sreedevika in the lead roles.

Sithara would also like to make a comeback to Malayalam, which was her launchpad to films. Though she was not very popular in Malayalam, her homely appearance had won her many admirers. She has given notable performances in films like Jathakam, Vachanam, Bhagyavan and Guru.
